The Statewide Plan
for Historic Preservation in Colorado
The Colorado Historical Society is actively seeking public input regarding a new statewide plan to serve all preservation stakeholders through 2020. Updating the state preservation plan is one of the major responsibilities of the State Historic Preservation Office in accordance with the 1966 National Historic Preservation Act.

The plan will provide direction on the Colorado Historical Society's programs including: the National Register of Historic Places, the State Historical Fund, the Certified Local Government Program, Section 106 Compliance and Tax Credits, and the State Archaeology Program.
