PREHISTORIC PALEO-INDIAN CULTURES OF THE COLORADO PLAINS
MULTIPLE PROPERTY SUBMISSION

The Paleo-Indian period began approximately 11,500 years ago and extended some 4,000 years. Sites associated with this period contain undisputed evidence of human occupation including tools (particularly projectile points), fire pits, and animal remains. (Accepted by National Register in 1990, accepted for State Register 6/9/2004)
